When to attack with the ball?
When you receive the ball and there are no defenders between you and the goal, dribble and go to goal.
When you receive the ball and there is only one defender between you and the goal, dribble at the defender, take a chance and go to goal.
When you receive the ball and have two defenders between you and the goal (a first defender and a second defender) look to pass the ball off for a combination.
When you receive the ball and see one more defender than attackers in front of you, look for other options. If you receive the ball and see and equal number of attackers and defenders or more attackers than defenders, go forward with the dribble to put pressure on the defense.
One exception to everything is if you receive the ball and see the first defender (the defender closest to you and between you and the goal you are attacking) standing upright (as opposed to in a good defensive stance) take a chance and dribble at that defender. It's virtually impossible for a defender to slow down an attacker (within the laws of the game) if the defender is standing upright as opposed to in a good stance. Anytime you see a defender with a bad stance, go at them, at speed and see how many wonderful opportunities can be created.

To all,

Welcome to another season. We are actively getting assigned field space for 500 plus players, getting coaches for teams and getting ready for our coaches course this weekend. Next we will begin putting schedules together and getting your uniforms to you. Thanks for all your hard work. See you on the field soon!

Keeper training,

Sorry for the confusion last night. Keeper training will be at Southside next Thursday from 6:00 to 7:00 for all U8 keepers on the first field on the left and from 7-8 for all U10 and U12 keepers. Coaches and Parents please send your keepers.
