when are sign ups for the next season? we missed sign ups for this season and miss the sport something terrible!! ready and excited to get signed back up and playing again!!!!

I am concerned now with parents not wanting to register their children due to the increases that are being made this time around. Maybe this is to much in one season.
$92.00 per child and asking everyone to be red and blue
is taking away from what makes RCSC so unique. I don't know if this is a done deal or not , but there are a lot of unhappy parents at this time. These uniforms may not be worth the risk at this time. We are making a move to the south end of town and may take a hit on that this year also. Some are wanting Smith Station to form a league, which would be a real big blow for our club. I know the children want to play , so lets make sure the Parents can afford to let them play.

I CAN ONLY TELL YOU AND OTHER CONCERNED PARENTS, WITH GROWTH COMES A LITTLE GROWING PAINS, AND THAT NOT EVERY SEASON WILL BE $92, JUST THIS FIRST START UP SEASON. THIS WAS EXPLANED IN DETAIL IN THE NEWS LETTER THAT GOT E-MAILED OUT. ALSO, SINCE THIS CLUB WAS STARTED IN 2000, NO PLAYER HAS EVER BEEN TURNED AWAY BECAUSE THEY COULD NOT AFFORD IT. IF ANYONE HAS A SPECIAL NEED, PLEASE LET ME KNOW. WE CAN NOT HAVE THE CAKE AND ICE CREAM WITHOUT BEING ABLE TO PAY THE ADDED INCREASE OF ALL THE COST ASSOCIATED WITH THE NEW COMPLEX. WE ALL WANT EVERYTHING, ME INCLUDED AND I PAY THE SAME FEES AS EVERYONE ELSE. BUT PLAYING ON GRASS AND NOT DIRT IS WORTH IT TO ME. FOR THOSE WHO WONDER HOW GOLES GET MOVED AROUND TOWN, FIELDS GET PAINTED, AND THE COUNTLESS HOURS ARE DONE BY VOLUNTEERS TO KEEP COST DOWN, WE ARE NOT RUN BY THE CITY PARKS AND REC DEPARTMENT. I WILL ASK YOU AND EVERYONE TO GIVE IT A TRY AND I PROMISE NEXT SEAON WILL NOT BE $92 BUCKS FOR RETURNING PLAYERS IT WILL BE THE REGULAR FEE, AS EXPLANED IN THE NEWS LETTER. BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE SOCCER FIELDS TOMORROW LOOK AROUND AND LETS MAKE SURE ALL THE TRASH IS PICKED UP, CORNER FLAGS IN THE CLOSET, AND GOALS MOVED OFF THE FIELDS AND IN THE CENTER SECTION BY THE FRONT GATE SO WE CAN RETURN THEM TO CYSA. THANKS

Thank You James for your comments, we will discuss them at the next board meeting. Please continue to support us as we try to figure out how to pay for a new complex and give everyone what they need. We will be in new uniforms in the spring and I think when you see the new look you will like it just as much. We have worked it out for everyone that needs to make payments they can, the fees do not have to be paid at the same time, it is eaiser if they do. And you should know this, no child has never not been allowed to play just because of a registration fee. If you know of someone who needs help just let me know and we will help them. River City, I cant begin to say how thankful i am to have worked with such a great club. I'm happy to see the growth that this club is achieving every year. I am happy to hear about the new club uniforms, i think it will really makes the club look great seeing everyone unified in the same color. I also have seen the kit and think they look excellent. I know of alot of people that are excited about the changes being made there and believe me, people in central and north alabama are taking notice. I know that there are always growing pains with any club when you grow and there will always be some people that are in agreement and those in opposition, so that is natural. I think that in the end, after all these changes have been made people and the kids that are playing will look back and not just say " i am glad my kids have a place to play" but they will also say how proud they are that their kids play for river city and what a great experince it was. Keep up the great work River City and i cant wait to work with you again.
