Hello to everyone. I have been in Iraq for almost three months now and I finally made it back to the web site. Some notes about Iraq. 1. It is very Sandy and Windy 2. It is Hot, very Hot. I hope you all had a good season It looks like the league is moving up in the world. I am fairly safe where I am. We are about forty miles east of baghdad. I have not had to go over the Berm for any missions. My missions are the good ones. Civil affairs missions where we go into town and do good deeds. I will be going into health clinics and evaluating / fixing their medical equipment. The unit I am assigned to does a soccer game every two weeks on an Iraqi Army base. We have played two games so far and let me say I know why I ref now. Their field is a dirt field compacted like concrete. Very hard but i forget where I am for those moments we are playing. We lost 11 to 0 and 6 to 1. Hey we improved. Back to the civil affairs stuff. When we go into town we will be delivering school supplies. I was wondering if the soccer league could organize an equipment round up for the kids here. Old used equipment or new if people were willing to donate. I know everyone is very busy with the new complex and tournaments and such but let me know if it is something we can do. I can't wait to see the fields when I come back in June 2008. If you want to contact me my e-mail address is timothy.stadler@us.army.mil Thank you all for your prayers and have a nice day.

Tim, thanks for serving our great country. All of us at River City wish you a safe return, keep your eyes and ears open over there and stay safe. It is great to hear you are still involved in soccer over there, we know how much you love the game. Keep checking the web site for news and info. Also continue letting us have some information as you can about life and conditions over there. I will check on the soccer round-up. Stay safe and we will talk soon.
