What precautions are being taken for the safety of our children on Nov 22? This is opening day for gun/deer season. Opening of dove season was different because hunters were using shot guns, deer hunters will be using rifles.

I have to say, the constant changing of the schedule to allow for other functions is getting really hard to schedule around.Everything keeps changing.As volunteers coaches, we also have private lives that also require scheduling and have other childrens schedules to allow for. It is getting very hard to do that.I hope that these are the last and final changes for the season.

we have talked to the police, city managers office, mayors office and the hunting club owners. Everyone is aware and everything should be as normal as every other Saturday. There are probably more hunters hunting near the roads, schools and work places along the roads you travel coming and going everyday than those out here at the complex. They are a federal licensed club and have strict regulations. I know that doesn't mean to much but I have deer feeding in my yard at a pear tree almost nightly and I can not even crack the door to watch them before I scare them off, so I can only image the noise from the kids and the screaming coaches will run deer off for miles. We are not going to let a hunting club ruin this for our club. I will bring a air horn to blast them away first thing. We certainly will not have deer moving towards us.
